What is LEAP protocol?

LEAP stands for Lifestyle Eating & Performance. It is a MRT, or mediator release test, which tests for foods that create inflammation in the body. The LEAP protocol is a food plan that focuses on foods that are anti-inflammatory to you!

Food Reactions:

When we eat foods that we are “sensitive” or highly reactive to, it means certain types of cells in the immune system are releasing mediators (such as cytokines, prostaglandins, leukotrienes or histamine) through a non-allergy reaction. These mediators are often found to be responsible for directly triggering unwanted symptoms such as diarrhea, joint pain, migraines or skin breakouts, etc.

Three phases of LEAP:

  1. Phase one is elimination of your inflammatory foods to ensure you are feeling your best
  2. Phase 2 is expanding the foods to include more variety of tested food into your plan
  3. Phase 3 is continuing to add foods tested and untested to expand your diet further

Who can benefit from LEAP?

Difference between LEAP and other food sensitivity testing.

LEAP Testimonial

"Consulting Savannah about my health was one of the best decisions I made in a long time. Although I wasn’t feeling terrible, my sense of well-being had been slowly declining and I was missing that feeling of vitality. I’m the kind of person that’s pretty mindful about what I eat and wasn’t sure what the problem was. When my cholesterol levels and blood pressure took a jump, I knew it was time to do something about it.

My symptoms were occasional brain fog, joint pain, headaches, gas and runny nose. I avoided gluten thinking that might be it, but I wasn’t feeling any better.

Savannah suggested I take a blood test for food sensitivities. I was shocked to discover I reacted to healthy things I ate practically daily  - oatmeal, lettuce, watermelon, mushrooms, garlic, apples…The first two weeks, honestly, were pretty tough. It was a limited diet and I had to psych myself up for the few weeks prior to starting it. The first 5 days I felt tired and crabby. After that however, I felt amazing! I had so much energy and was sleeping better than I had been for years. My symptoms disappeared!

Throughout that time Savannah was incredibly helpful and supplied me with meal plans and suggestions as well as a lot of encouragement. Her knowledge is vast and her approach hit just the right tone. She felt like a true partner in my health

makeover. I discovered so many new foods and dishes I would have never tried if it wasn’t for this program. She suggested that I drink 2 cups of hibiscus tea daily and my blood pressure normalized - much to me and my doctor’s surprise.

All in all it feels like I pressed the reset button. It’s now been 6 weeks since I started the LEAP diet plan and although there are a few foods I tested high for that I am still avoiding, my diet is very satisfying with lots of variety. If you are ready to feel better, do not hesitate to contact Savannah as your personal guide to better health. Your body will thank you!"
